Attached the following and sent them to USCIS
1) 485 - copy.
2) Old APs 2 - Copies.
3) Cover letter explaining that I need to visit my parents as they are old.
4) DL - Copy.
5) Photos : 2 (write A# and name back of them) (I forgot to send the photos with the application)
I forgot to attach the photos and got RFE, sent photos and approved yesterday. Waiting for the physical copy.

Would anyone please share contact info of Good and proven lawyer whose legal fees is reasonable or cheaper. My lawyer asking $1800 as legal fees (not filing fees) for H-1B extension which I guess is too much.

Both have same I-94 number with different visa class and expiry date. I think you have to hand the one that came with h1b. I think either way it will be in system since both I-94 have same number.

while, most of us do not have Canada perm residentship. why should we face that issue? I was only concerned with any other issue due to the fact of mere visiting canada on greencard? if it can raise any suspicion (or any technical issue) of abandoning the pending or approved GC?

AP could be mailed but the applicant MUST be in the USA at the time of application.
According to my attorney, you can re-apply for AP from outside of the U.S. and have it delivered to a local consulate. This is a response from my attorney:

If the AOS is still pending you can do it yes. You can even have AP sent to
overseas consulate. Then it is just called PAROLE lol, as they are not

Some sort of filtering process has to handle that task. With security I meant, checking on originating IP addresses against their watch-lists, certain words in the text, etc. As per reports, Obams is given some 10 letters (may be some emails) everyday to read.

Did u get this information from your attorney? My attorney has a different view and tells me we cannot proceed without the actual papers of certification from PBEC.
Also can u check for me what is required if we do not have the certification papers from DOL(like a print out of CERTIFIED status from DOL website) to file
for 140/485. I will try to pursue with my attorney if I get this info.

It also appears that they refuse to process on the premium processing basis the I-140 petitions to request the priority date transfer unless the original labor certification application is filed with the request.

If your new company is paying the fee use company attorney else stick with old attorney.
Make sure the new attorney is good and capble of handling your case.
I have followed first option in my case which is similar to yours and ofcourse my new corporate attorney is equally good.

When had filed my I140 I did send my coworkers reference letter ...yet i got a rfe requesting for employer's experience letter..
I was in a similar but totally different situation. I wanted to use the experience as a Grad. Assistant for my I-140 stage. The problem was, my professor was no longer with the University. My lawyer suggested that I obtain a letter from the professor on a plain paper and make sure that it is notarized. The letter had his address and cell phone number and "Formerly, Asst. Professor at xxx Iniv".
There was no issue with the I-140 approval.

Thanks. I'll try SSN based on AOS. If they refuse, I'll get EAD for my wife.
SSN based on AOS did not work. Going ahead with applying for EAD as it may take years and years to get GC. There may be more such things coming in future, which may require EAD and SSN and so on - who knows. While not applying for AOS, we wanted to save US$180 of EAD and have less (useless - at that point of time) paperwork.
